Rowdy Johnson

Rowdy Johnson is an American Outlaw Country Music Singer/Songwriter and Entertainer steeped in tradition and authenticity. As REAL as it gets. Born and raised in Apopka, Florida with a chip on his shoulder and songs in his heart, Rowdy quickly found that he had a gift for expressing himself through lyrics and song.

Never bowing to labels and with the desire to blaze his own path, it's allowed Rowdy to take all his influences and roll them into what Rowdy Johnson music is all about, complete musical freedom. And speaking of Freedom, Rowdy served in United States Navy in his early years and has since became the voice of our American Armed Forces and a strong advocate for his fellow Veterans.

Formed in late 2007 out of Tucson, Arizona, the Rowdy Johnson Band burst on the scene quickly due to their original songs and sound. On the stages all throughout Arizona, most notably Tombstone, RJB began to spread their wings and hone their craft. In the “Town Too Tough To Die”, Rowdy became a Legend and it didn’t take long for the word to spread. Somewhere between the unmistakable Outlaw sounds of Waylon, Willie and Classic Old School Honky-Tonk, that’s where you’ll find Rowdy Johnson; carrying on the tradition while writing and performing his own songs.

Rowdy Johnson Band released 3 full length albums/CDs to date including “Outlaws Today”, “America’s Best” and "Hillbilly Rock Star" featuring 36 amazing songs that pack a serious punch and are even better Live. Having shared the stage with some of Music’s most iconic performers including Merle Haggard, John Anderson, David Allan Coe, Charlie Daniels, Molly Hatchet, Bellamy Brothers, Gary Allan, Trace Adkins, .38 Special, Gretchen Wilson, Sawyer Brown, Big & Rich, Jackyl, Grand Funk Railroad and Steppenwolf just to name a few, the Rowdy Johnson has been there, done that and got the t-shirts.

Seems this “Unwanted Man” is wanted more than ever these days as Rowdy embarks upon his solo career with two new EP releases “The Nordic Recording Sessions Vol. 1 & 2” due out the end of 2020 and early 2021 respectively. On these recordings, Rowdy flexes his songwriting muscle by having some of his Rowdy Friends such as Dallas Moore and Billie Gant join him on a couple of Rowdy’s original songs, “Ain’t No Outlaw” and “You Ain’t No Coe”. Not to mention, the unforgettable duet between Rowdy and his wife Kathy on “I’ll Go First”.

And as if that wasn’t enough, Rowdy joined his dear friend and Producer extraordinaire, Deano Engebretson on a Rock & Roll collaboration “Voodoo Highway”. With Deano providing the masterful musical tracks, Rowdy wrote and sang the lyrics with the power and thunder one would expect from a Hillbilly Rock Star. The beard's a little longer and a whole lot more grayer. Welcome to the Gray Beard Mafia! Keep your eye on the tour dates and be sure to catch Rowdy Johnson at a venue near you.
